A little about me first.

I’m an IT Manager and have worked in the field for 20 years. Naturally, I’m in to computers and programming as a result. I’m an accomplished PHP programmer and have written web applications that have been in widespread use for years. I also putter around with Asterisk on PBX in a Flash, an open-source telephony platform (phone switch).

I’ve come up with quite a few other disimilar hobbies though - read on.

2005 Kawasaki Concours ZG1000-A20I’m in to motorcycling and currently own a 2005 Kawasaki Concours. I’m a member of the AMA, and the Concours Owners Group (COG). The COG is one of the most active motorcycle clubs in the US and I enjoy the group rides over the summer months. I have also shown my respect to our fallen service members by riding with the Patriot Guard Riders. I have previously owned a 1979 Yamaha XS1100-SF (special) and a 1967 Harley Davidson Sprint 250.

I grew up on a lake, so I like fishing, boating, sailing, etc. I’m looking to buy a 26 - 33 foot sailboat within the next couple years. I currently own a sloop-rigged Sea Sprite by O’day (a sailing dinghy from the 50’s) and an aluminum canoe, that was handed down to me from my dad. I’ve been checking out yachts from the MacGregor 26 to the Delphia 33. I enjoy attending Sailboat shows for the education, and for the fun of it.

Cabinet with BookshelvesI’ve also been getting into woodworking. I’ve made some fairly simple projects so far. You can see them on Picasa. That’s a locking storage cabinet with bookshelves to the left.
